Taking Calcium and Vitamin D is not enough! There are a variety of other agents that both prevent bone loss and build new bone. Our goal is to restore your bone density and maintain it to minimize your risk of breaking a bone.
If you are over 50 and have had a broken bone, you should be evaluated. Osteoporosis develops slowly so you may not be aware that your bones are weak. If your spine seems more crooked this may also be a sign of osteoporosis.
You will be sent for some simple tests including a bone density scan and basic lab work to assess if any treatment is recommended. We are also able to calculate your future risk of fracture based on the information gathered.
